~~ 364 days too early ~~

Friday, July 29th, 2005

Wah! I thought I am the first on to msg Lb "Happy Birthday" at 12am on 26th July… N in the morning came a msg from Lb "you are 364 days too early…" I really thought that it is 26th July, little did i realised that it is actually 27th July… Haiz… think this has got to do with the work bah!

Ever since entering Uni, I really think I have developed the habit of no date no time… Can remember which day of the week, but hardly the date. Well, sort of reminiscing the good old sch days when the dates are written on the blackboard!

Anyway, this day i will never forget, ‘cos its Lb’s birthday. well, so many years of friendship, and pple do change, but we still hold each other dearly, which is what is the most important. There was one year, when i was really upset that she totally forgot abt my b-day… and she was so apologetic abt that! GUess now i have outgrown that stage..

Received TF’s email. Its has been a few years since I have last seen her. Guess we were never really close, cos i used to think that she is very fortunate. But I do remember the days in school when we were in the same class, and i thought that we could become friends, since we were not born here. But, i guess we just din have the chance to come together.

Now, I have a "secret fren"… haha… my shi jie, sec and JC one. Somehow i just like to joke with her, talk to her. Dunnoe how it came about too! She was offering me a ride from home, and along the way we just talked… She was so kind to offer me a ride to work on Wed, but guess what??!! I am still late because the tree along CCK Rd has fallen… haha…

… Noah’s Ark …

Monday, July 18th, 2005

Can’t remember when the documentary Noah’s Ark was on the news. Only remembered that audiences came out of the cinemas touched. Made a note to myself that I will watch the documentary when it is up.

However, due to the religious colour of the film, it was not shown here in the cinema. Though not screened in cinema, it is still possible to catch it in Fairfield Methodist Church.

Wow! The documentary was really impressive! It brought us to the peak of Mt. Ararat, where the Ark was repeatedly reported (and believed) to be found. Have wondered why, if people in the past have found/ seen it, there are no concrete reports on this issue… erm… din think much right?

But, as now it became clearer to me, not only the fact that Mt. Ararat is a live volcano, the fact that the deep snow also added mystery to the search. The documentary took a lot research, citing all the past evidences and findings. In addition, the documentary went into the extent of "proving" that such a great flood existed, in various races and places.

I hope that if you have a chance, you will watch this documentary with an open mind… ^^

Tickets are still available @ 68831692 or 90062833 (the days of Noah)

SATURDAY 9th July: We had a car wash practice in the morning. Thought it would be a dreary task, but in the end, we only took about 10 min for one car! I was quite impressed… haha. But when we got down to the actual planning, there were just so many things. so many details that we need to plan out, and the assignment of people, blah blah…. Imagine the actual day, really afraid that it would be very messy. But then, it is worthwhile giving it a try, and the "Service" team has not been doing our jobs… anyway… But guess how i spent my afternoon… really not desirable. I watched VCDs… the whole afternoon. I think just wanted to be involved in some brainless thing… haha….

SUNDAY 10th July: There is a charity run at West Coast Park organised by NUS, and since one of the beneficiaries is T.H, it is really polite that we joined in… the run… Planned to leave early for service, but in the end, we started late, and therefore ended late. Wow… saw Fong Kwan and Sze Yung. They were running. Missed our time when we took part in the marathon… ok?! Guess what? I got a lucky draw price… :)

Thursday 14th July: Today we were supposed to have a class gathering. Sent out invitations on Monday. Well, the notice was too tight. But still, the turn-out was miserable. It was meant as a farewell for Jaron, but since there are only 4 or 5 of us, we have decided to cancel this. When I see people having class gathering, i am often envious. But i guess it is still pretty good that we are still contacting one another. With a new yahoogroup, hopefully we can keep in touch more often!

Dumb Games

Thursday, July 7th, 2005

was given 3 riddles:

1. what is a blind deer?

2. what is a fish without an eye?

3. what is worst than finding half a worm in an apple?

haha… all the nonsense came out… met-up with Fongky, Faizal and Kelvin, has been a long time since i last met them. One day, Fongky was messaging me regarding a met-up, so nice of her! so there we were, the mall on the "coughing hill", was a suggestion by me, and thanks to the accomodating Faizal! I was wondering if he would protest against the venue for the meet-ups, but to my surprise, he said "ok"… so, we did not cheat him right?? ^_^

was amused by all the stupid tricks yesterday… really dumb yea? guess that was what we all learnt in orientations, just that fongky could not really comprehen (that we were so dumb!! haha)

I was reminded of the "story" i heard 2 weeks ago when i was on a trip to China, when we were in a village. "Cross your arms, twist and put your index fingers crossed on your nose. If you managed to untangle it, you are a majority, else you are a minority." Everyone there and then were amused and started doing that… and there were still some who could not solve the mystery!*

Wow… how i missed that village. the pple there were so nice, so pure and kind. They are really willing to do a lot of things. Guess in this busy world now, we have forgotten how to be kind to another person…

Anyway, had a nice time yesterday. Of course, i was laughing all along yesterday when i recounted the incident, and no one can comprehen what i am talking about, and why it is so funny! guess its also part of the feeling for that village… Hope all is well there!
